[Need Sugestion] wordpress as blog or keep using CI?

i plan to build blog for my website.
currently all of website is written by CI.
and i also consider wordpress for blog platform inside CI.
what do you think better? using CI alone or use wordpress as blog platform?

You will have a lot of coding to do if you want CI to do a blog as good as wordpress can do. CI is a framework. Wordpress is a finished complete app written and refined over many years. Why reinvent the wheel? I always use wordpress for blogging on sites, even if they are created with CI. I just integrate them.

I can only endorse @CroNiX: Why reinvent the wheel? Wordpress is a huge and powerful blogging-software. It evolved over many years and got almost no more security bugs or other "bad things". If you coded a blog by yourself, you probably will end up fixing the scripts over and over again and won't get time to write any posts.
When it comes to creating a presentation page or a platform for my page, I use wordpress as a first choice over Joomla or some other CMS, since it's easy to set up and has almost everything you need shipped directly within the downloads. And it's super easily extendable with plugins and easily integratable into CI as well.

Conclusion: Go for worpdess

PS: You may as well develop a blogging software based on CI just to get the power of CI but I wouldn't recommend using it as a production site if it's not super duper developed

One thing I have done lately is use Wordpress so my customer can create and edit content, but use CI to make custom queries for the content. CI loads the content faster, and CI provides an easier environment for making custom functionality. I just put Wordpress in a subdomain, like content.mysite.com, and it shares a database with CI. Other than a model, there really isn't anything else linking the two applications.
