Make your web app look good? |

Hey guys! I have another question for you awesome guys! I am really really bad at making my web application look good. I think css is really confusing as everything seems to be affecting everything, and also things you dont want to be affected.. I realize that a very good structure is really important if you dont want to end up in an endless maze. Now, my question, how exactly do you guys accomplish a well-structured and good looking website? Do you start off with a complete css? Or do you first build an (ugly) web application and then apply css/ modify your code with classes/divs/id's/.. afterwards to make it look good? Thanks!

Old saying get it to work first then add all the bells and whistles! I start off using the 1140 grid system for laying out my templates.

Thanks for your reply! The 1140 approach seems very interesting indeed! I will be giving it a shot ![]()

+1 for Twitter Bootstrap. Think 1140 or 960 grid plus jQuery UI without the bloat.
