gettext + freakauth in CI 1.6

Hi everybody,

and thanks to the dev for this library Freakauth.
I'm sort of CI newbie, using it on CI 1.6, I'd like to do a multilingual community with it,with automatic browser language detection (or user preferences stored in user_profile) and consequent switching.
Has anybody tested Freakauth with gettext library by Tassoman?

I'm trying the overwriting method (as explained in the wiki ),
but it keeps searching for 'freakauth_lang.php' even if I'm sure I've searched&deleted;every $this->lang->load('freakauth... entry from my controllers. There must be some sort of automatic loading for it, has anybody got an idea?

Anyway,

if you are planning to use $lang files and you want an alternative to poedit, you might take a look at this:

it's a gui, a plug-in for Firefox which handles very well $lang php files, with the reference file and the translation file.

I'd still prefer gettext though, as with it you can use amazing features like the ones offered by launchpad for fast translating:
