I dunno. Help newbe with lib/models please

As far as I understand, libs aren't part of the MVC. You could solve your problem with both of your solutions but I think it's better and easier to use your first example. In that case you only have to serve one file as a lib insted of blow it up with models etc. The only thing you should have to think about is multi-lang support, but thats also not really needed by a lib.
