A single page document describing the ultimate authentication mechanism, that will keep every one of us happy, and that we should all be embracing immediately! Who can argue against this? https://www.owasp.org/index.php/Guide_to_Authentication I've implemented a number of those in the Authentication package for SprintPHP and, while it's not directly droppable into CI it could be modified fairly easily I think. Read the docs here I know that narf has said not a chance, but it seems like there could be an 80% solution that covers common use cases, without trying to handle everything. Something with an interface that could be developed against for any other auth packages. Laravel does a decent job at providing a simple tool that handles basic password/credentials package without trying to cover every base. I don't see that as being a v3 tool, if it was decided it was worth pursuing at all, though. |
