Insert large data in table, db error 2006

Hi,

I am trying to setup custom cache for my application. I am trying to save a serialized object in my cache table, but it gives me db error(error no 2006, mysql server gone away) while in actual, the server is running.

I have kept the field type to LONGBLOB.

Please help.
