How to do video streaming?

I am using pyroCMS to built my site. I want to show video streaming. Is there any way to do taht using codeIgniter helpers or any library. I heard about the vimeo library and plugin for pyroCMS, I also heard about ffmpeg but its installation is way too complex.
Please some one show me the right path on this and if any one tell me how to use vimeo plugin that will be greatfull as i have downloaded the vimeo pluging.
I am an amateur in codeIgniter so please bare with me.
