Benchmarking and time to display

Hi guys,
I have a webpage that im coding in CI. Including the sessions database query which CI adds, there are six queries, which when I turn CIs benchmarking on, take 0.0279, 0.0205, 0.0227, 0.2006, 0.0228, 0.0672 seconds each to complete, giving a total execution time of 0.05780. All that is fine.

But from the point of hitting the previously link to this page being loaded on screen is around 4-6 seconds. The script is running on my machine using MAMP (Im on a Mac) and all other pages load within a second. Can anyone suggest any reasons as to why the time to display is so radically different to the execution time?
