Database Connect Custom Module

I would like to know I have been hunting around for a tutorial on how to make a HMVC database connect module. Instead of going to the config database.

In my hmvc modules folder I have created at databaseconnect folder. but would like to see if can get connectivity settings from config/database and put it on my new controller file in

modules/databaseconnect/controllers/databaseconnect.php
modules/databaseconnect/models/
modules/databaseconnect/views/install.php

so the link would look like example: http://www.example.com/install.php and then I would go in put my database details in and the click save and should come up with error or something if not connected.

And have save/connect button and warnings can not connect If there is information on how to do that with hmvc please send me link.
