Adding Categories....table join?

Ok I've just about go it. Here is where I'm stuck...

I'm sending my data to the view via variables ($name, $url and so on). The category name variable can contain more than one name since an article can belong to multiple categories.
I would assume I need to do a loop to display all categories that the article belongs to, but my attempts have failed both in the controller and in the view.

Any help on how I can do this would be greatly appreciated.
