output->cache ... ALL or NOTHING?

Hi,
I'm a CI noob and was just wondering if output->cache has support for "no-cache" of certain portions of a view?

CakePHP supports this, and I know CI doesn't have an advanced template system, and that an alternative is mashing Smarty into CI.
