Fresh install won't run

Hey guys,

I did a fresh CI4 installation with composer.
Apache up and running, tested all locations and the return of index pages.
However, the CI index gives me:

in the upper left corner on a blank screen.
What's going on?

PS: using 'php spark serve' returns the index perfectly
