Should CodeIgniter Shield include customizable view Tags for user access?
#2

Hey, that sounds like a solid idea! Customizable view tags for user access and status checks could definitely improve flexibility—especially for projects that need fine-grained UI control based on roles or user states.

It would be great if the tags could support things like checking permissions (@can, @role, etc.), user status (like banned or inactive), or even time-based access logic.

I just voted in the poll — I think this could be a useful addition, especially if it's implemented cleanly and remains optional for those who prefer keeping logic in controllers or services.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Great work with Shield so far!
