Codeigniter = fast, flexible and easy to learn.
Symfony = slower, less flexible (more convention following) and takes much longer to get to grips with.

If I had the time, I'd like to learn Symfony... or Zend for that matter, but I need to earn a living and Codeigniter just lets me get on with it.[/quote]
