Which Files to upload?

note: i installed wampserver in my pc to learn CI
in the www folder i placed this folder:

codeigniter
inside of this folder I have
system
user_guide
index.php
license.txt

when i surf to http://localhost/codeigniter
.... i get the welcome page (all is well)

but i do not wnt to touch the original files i downloaded

so in my server i created a sub-directory caled "gift"
inside of it i copied the "system" folder listed above


when i surf to http://localhost/gift
.... i do not get the welcome page

PLEASE in plain language WHICH page, which line I need to change?

in the root of gift, i saw a index.php
but i do not see which line i need to change

whatever line i should change, could you copy/paste (or just write out)
HOW it should look once i change it)
