Problem with BASEPATH

I am using XAMPP and I have a problem with BASEPATH.

When I use the following in a view file,

Code:

<?= 'Basepath: ' . BASEPATH ?>

I get this one.

Code:

Basepath: C:\xampp\htdocs\ci_day6/system/

I assume it should be like this but I am not sure.

Code:

Basepath: C:\xampp\htdocs\ci_day6\system\

Can anyone guide me how to fix this problem please?
