Image Library - Resize and Thumbnail

first, I think it would be good practice not to feed the image lib configuration array with the data for your upload library...
'max_width', 'allowed_types' and so on....
so unset the upload configuration array or use another name... $upload_config[]

I don´t really know what to do, but
I would try to use a fresh config array for resizing and watermarking...

unset($config);
$config['image_library'] = 'GD2';
...and so on...
