HMVC best pratices

Hi!

I'm just starting to work with modular extensions and want to know if there is any problem if a controller's module call a model from another module.
I know that it is possible because I read it at the bitbucket's modular extension wiki, but, it's a good pratice?

Another question is: It's normal that I create a module for every table of my database?
