CI 2.0 Url rewrite

First of all how would you host the old site? on IIS? on apache using mod_aspdotnet?
If you plan on using IIS you can't have at the same address and port both IIS and APACHE.
As of mod_aspdotnet, microsoft's module for aspx in apache, I have never used it so I don't know how it works, but considering their way of making things (look at internet explorer and specifications ie) I wouldn't want to guess.

To sum up I don't think it's as simple as doing a rewrite rule.

Someone more experienced in hosting could give more info.
