Does number of controllers and models matter ?

I am working on an e-commerce project(Still in the initial stage), I have made many controllers and models for every functionality i make.Like i have made a model and a controller for changing password, forgot password, register, login functionality.Will the number of controllers and models affect the performance of the website?
