OK ignore my last post, did some reading on the topic and it seems the best way and the way google will like most is to just display a page, I will just have to re-style the one thrown to look like my normal layout.
One thing I do need to ask, I was reading in that EE thread, and it said somewhere about putting in your robots.txt file the following

Disallow: /index.php/
I understand this is to stop duplicate content, but won't this then stop google looking at all my pages with urls <mysite>/index.php/<controler>.....
Or for this robot entry do you need to remove the index.php part?
