problem with URI_PROTOCOL

Did it ever work for you? Its clearly a configuration item, but you say you've tried all the REQUEST_URI options. What host?

yes it (REQUEST_URI) worked for me a lot of times (times when i encounter that error). you see, i've installed that same script on lots of servers and it works, well sometimes i need to configure the script on some servers to make it work but this time, no matter how i configure it, it doesn't work. the script is installed on a GoDaddy host...

godaddy has been discussed a lot on these forums. Did a search reveal anything noteworthy?

well... they (the owner) decided to switch server to dreamhost now. and it's fixed!!! godaddy sucks! well I read from a thread here that they suck. :-) thanks sir Derek for the help!
