Yes, actually that is completely normal. After you signed up there was a message about our demonstration progress.

We are actively building the application and are close to releasing the administration system to our testers. Once they have the system in their hands, we will start to fire up demos in the order they were requested.

We want to make sure this is the best eCommerce platform and as stable as possible before release, showcasing CodeIgniter – thank you for your patience. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Could you give some idea of your deployment solutions and pricing structures? Will there be a "community" edition like Magento's (ShopIgniter is billed as the Open Source E-Commerce Platform), hosted shops only like Shopify's, a download with a license like Expression Engine's, or none of the above? Your site seems to hint at all of these options but commit to none.

I signed up but never got any response. We are looking to implement a webshop soon and after reviewing Magento and Opencart, I was very interested in seeing a CodeIgniter solution.

To answer a few of these questions, let me start off by saying ShopIgniter is coming soon. We are on schedule to release towards the end of the year and will be updating the site shortly with new information. We are going to demo ShopIgniter at the EE RoadShow in Seattle this weekend so I am sure you will hear more about it in the coming weeks.

The license model for ShopIgniter is pretty simple - we borrowed what we love from some of our favorite systems out there. The system is open source, however it isn't free. We will have a 30 day free SaaS demo that allows you to play around with a full working version of the system and we also provide our certified testers and developers a free copy to use commercially. ShopIgniter will come in two different forms, a download and a SaaS offering. We will be releasing pricing soon but I can assure you it is an affordable, robust and highly scalable system.
