I'm building one as my 3rd year project (don't technically start it till Sept, but I got a little bit of a head start) although it's slowed down, as I'm now working full time for the rest of the summer

Basecamp is pretty much the golden boy of the keep-it-simple online project management apps. Many people have been trying to get on their heels. I remember seeing a free open source php version that you could download that was a complete rip-off of them. Go Plan has been getting a lot of attention as of late but there are tons out there. Here are some to help out your hunt.

I'd like something I can install on my own site.... also powered by CI. I like seeing software, such as Bamboo, and picking through the code learning how things are done.
