1.7.2 User Guide Firefox Extension in English

Hello everyone,

this is my first post.

I've been using C.I. for a few months now but I still keep going back to the User Guide a lot, and I was looking for an easier/faster way to access it through Firefox.

There are three user guide extensions already but unfortunately the only one that works with the latest FF (3.6.3) is in Chinese.

So, I downloaded it and translated it to English, and I'm sharing the file with anyone who might find it useful.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Install the Chinese extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10101

2. Replace the ci_overlay.xul with the one attached
Should be under C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\YOURPROFILE\extensions\hex@codeigniter.org.cn\chrome\content

3. Replace the user_guide directory
The one that comes with the extension is in Chinese and it's in the same folder as above. You can grab a fresh copy from the main CI download pack and replace it.

4. Disable the extension

5. Restart Firefox

6. Enable the extension

7. Restart Firefox

8. Disco!

I found this extension as well, and decided that it would be a good idea to go ahead and create a couple of new addons for other CI developers out there.

Both addons are set up to be compatible with FF 4.0.*

The first addon gives you the CI user guide for CI 1.7.2 (or 4, I forgot which was the latest, either way, the guide is from the latest version for 1.7)
