Good CodeIgniter Books

Greetings all,

I am getting into CI. Long time PHP programmer. Choosing to use this framework to build a few new sites. I am looking for some good references and/or specifically good reference books for CI. I see there are only 2 out for 1.7 and they do not seem to have very good reviews. So I am curious if there are any others out there, if the older ones might still apply and be good resources, and maybe any other resources (aside form this Wiki) out there on CI.

I havent found a good CI book yet(I think I have the 2 you mentioned ). There really should be CI book that goes beyond the userguide and current CI books just dont go there. Well maybe I dont need CI book anymore but it would have been nice when I started many moons ago

Better stick to online tuts and articles.

I've been reading the Codeigniter 1.7 by Jose Argudo - http://www.amazon.com/CodeIgniter-1-7-Jo...929&sr=8-3 online (I have access to Safari Books Online via work - yay) ... between that and the UG, I've gone from 0 to 60 pretty quickly. Took me less than 2 weeks to rebuild my website, AND I even added features I didn't have before.

Anyways, that's my $0.02 ... I've found the book to be OK in helping me get started with CI, and put together the concepts, and in a couple cases some ideas of things I could do... but I've been using the UG exclusively as a reference.
