Setting Up - Issues getting blank page

Hi guys, I'm new to codeIgniter and I cant get going.

I have 2 years php experience, so my environment is setup and ready as I have been using it with other projects, but I cant get codeigniter going.

I've downloaded the relevant docs and set it all up to their requirements, but when I open the url in my browser I do not get a 404 error, I simply get a blank screen, not even a hint of the welcome hooray screen.

Any hints?

Check all of your paths.

Check for whitespace in your code etc;
