Additional examples or tutorials? |

Hi All, I wish I had found CodeIgniter 9 months ago, CodeIgniter looks great. I've gone through the documentation and video tutorials and I am now beginning to sink my teeth in. I don't have any specific questions yet, but I would love to see yet another example of CI in action. Are there any downloadable CI apps/examples floating around? Basically I'm completely new to the whole MVC framework thing and I need to get my head around how to do things the CI way and solve familiar problems. Its not entirely clear to me where a template file goes and how the view gets embeded or other do's and don'ts. Up to now I have coded procedurally with a typical style of logic at the top of a file, keeping persistent data in $_SESSION vars and a bunch of includes for presenation. Thanks, C.

I have just launched a new, sometimes-more-than-weekly-I-hope screencast on CodeIgniter. I've just filmed, and I'm just waiting for the second episode to upload.

Awesome, Jemgames! I'd love to see some real in-depth stuff as well (advanced techniques etc). Where are you uploading your videos?

Yes thank you! Food for thought for next tutorial - I would like to see how to integrate something with data into tables and paging maybe even sorting tables with AJAX. Yikes!

Ajax based pagination, drag and drop and some "nifty" tutorials wouldn't be too bad either :--) I've even considered making some myself, too bad I am overloaded with projects right now.

Just posting back this website which goes along way to explain many aspects of CI. http://capsizedesigns.com/blog/category/codeigniter/ Really this stuff should be linked into the documentation. He does a great job.
