Adam, I found a couple of points in your Auth userguide that contradict each other:
emphasis mine.

In the Authentication Library Overview section it states:

...A good example of this is the login function. All you need to do to log a user in is use the function $this->auth->login() - you don't need to pass any parameters, because all login functions have a username field, and a password field. By cutting out the unnecessary, we will help you develop the core to your app, without having to worry about the menial tasks.

However, in the Usage Instructions section it states:

...Logging users in

There is only one function you need to run to log a user in, and only one parameter to pass.

$this->auth->login('user/login');

Here you can see how to log a user in. Unlike other libraries, you do not need to pass any data to the function, since everything is handled inside the function - plus you only need to pass a username and password to login. The first parameter is optional, and it is the URI to redirect to on a successful login.

Looking at the library login method there doesn't appear to be any parameters passed. so the second example above must be in error??
Could you clear this up for me and perhaps others?
