escape_like_str Bug

Hi Hobbes. I don't have any problem about this. I have allready fixed codeigniter's bug myself with str_replace('!','',$sWhere) function.

I'm trying to help improvment of Codeigniter and want to be this software more Universal but Narf isn't trying to understand that.

I have allready checked code of this function and i know the reason of this usage. But your technique is wrong.

Previous version of Codeigniter (2.x) hasn't got this bug; you may revert changes and try to write another code for prepend.

When you stop just throwing insults around and answer i will stop before you but you don't stop still.

This is a bug man; what will you do when programmer wants to escape client sended email address like this: [email protected]

Work hard and fix this bug... Love people and world will be better for you.

What is wrong with you? How ignorant are you? How many times do I have to ask you how do you want the function to be changed and why? I will not even look at the code before you answer that question, no matter how much you scream that there's a bug, because what you're referring to is very much intentional and you're not giving me a single reason for why it may be wrong.

'biologically_old_mentalistic_baby_man' in a LIKE statement, without being prepended with an escape character, will also match:

'biologically|old?mentalistic-baby+man'
biologicallyXoldYmentalisticZbaby.man'

etc.

What part of this do you not understand?

Just for the record, you've got zero fixes accepted. You've got two valid bug reports, the ones that you linked, but neither of them is security related.

What you don't understand is that I don't care if you want to support CI, I don't care if you're 13, 33, 53, 73 years old, I don't care if you're an arrogant SOB or the nicest guy on the planet. If you've got a valid bug report or an appropriate pull request - I'll accept them. Currently, you have neither and you're doing your best to make yourself look worse.
