Why does CI 1.70 support libraries subfolder ?

Hi everyone,

I a CI newbie.

When I use CI 1.6, I wonder why CI does not support subfolder in application/libraries folder, and then, I know that the goal of this folder to overwrite exist System Libraries of CI.

And now, CI support subfolder of libraries in 1.7 version.

Can you tell me what purpost of this action is ?

The goal of the application/libraries folder is also to store any user-created libraries.

Well, think of a non CI-focused PHP class, like Smarty. It requires several includes. As does the facebook API scripts. As do lots of contributed solutions. With subfolders, you can keep this nice and tidy.
