Yet another help request for .htaccess

It just sounds to me like you're setting up a Web root within your Web root, which just seems strange to me. But if you really want it to work this way, I'm positive it can be done.

Oh dear - it works on my mac at home but when i put it on the live unix server I cant call functions of my base controller. Any ideas of the top of your heads why this might be?

perhaps its to do with naming conventions it doesn't seem to like my controller being called home.....

This is usually caused by one of three things. Incorrect URI protocol specified in config.php ('AUTO doesn't always work), incorrect htaccess file configuration or files names are not entirely lowercase.

I am sure as can be the .htaccess is ok and the file name is fine too - I'll try out the uri protocol.
