How do I start?

I downloaded CodeIgniter and unzipped the file. Is there an executable file that I need to open in order to install codeigniter? I am puzzled as to how this works!

Create a new project in your Development platform and inside of this project, copy the folders and the files that are inside of the CodeIgniter folder (system, user_guide, index.php and license) and paste in your project.
After this, it's just starting developing.

The best way to start well is reading the documentation; the Model-View-Controller approach is a little bit different of "standard" programming and you'll have to change your mind.
