What makes a class "Codeigniter compatible" |

Hi all, I'm about to attempt to implement sphinx in my CI website. I'm following Jamie Rumbelow's instructions here. Everything makes sense until I get to the part where he talks about making the Sphinx API CodeIgniter compatible: Quote:Next up you need to either convert the Sphinx PHP API (in the /api folder) so that it's CodeIgniter-compatible, or download the already-converted version I made from my site (remember to rename to Sphinx.php) The link to the version he built is dead, so I don't know what he means about making it CodeIgniter-compatible. Can someone give me a brief explanation as to what he's talking about? How does one make a PHP class CI-compatible? Thanks!

You can download as a .txt file take off the .php.txt and just ust filename.txt I just did it. Enjoy InsiteFX

Okay, cool...thanks. That worked for getting the file. Still, when I look at that file, I don't see where he's changed anything. I'm still unclear what he means by making something CI compatible. Does anyone know exactly what he's referring to there?
