Mod rewrite HELP for Mac's Snow Leopard

Check your Apache configuration file '/private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf'.

In the <Directory> section where you define your document root, be sure 'AllowOverride' is set to 'All'. Snow Leopard has that set to 'None' by default.

Also check to see if you have a localized include for your apache2 configuration. If there is a file in '/private/etc/apache2/users/', it may be trumping your 'AllowOveride' setting set in your 'httpd.conf'.
