Hello everyone,
Today i am starting a project log for a forum software that i am currently developing. Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section but there is no project forums to place this in.
The idea of Dove Forums is to provide a simple, lightweight yet powerful forum software that hopefully people will be able to intergrate with there site in a breeze.
There is still no version ready for releise to the public as of yet, this will be coming in the next few weeks.
I am going to include some screen shots of how it looks at the moment and a list of feature that will be in the first beta releise.
How Can You Help ?
When the forum is at a stage where i am ready to releise i will be looking for anyone who is interested in trying out the forum software and feeding back to me with any bugs or possible improvements you would like to see before the first official beta releise, if you would like to participate in this then please drop me a PM, i will be looking for people who know the codeigniter framework very well. I may also be looking for people to help work on the project, this will be paid work but this will not be for a few months where i am in a position to do so and i know its going to be worth while maintaining the project.
Influenses ?
My influence for this project has come from the vanilla forums project, at present there is some similarities, however these will be gone by the time the beta version rolls round as i do not intend to "Rip" a excerlent project.

Ok here you are, here is the screen shots as the forum stands now, i am currently working on it 3 hours per day which is not alot i know, but i own another company which i work at full time, like i said any similarities to Vanilla will be gone by the next update.

Thats all the screen shots i have ready for the moment.

- User login, with stat tracking maintained by sessions

- Choice of admin varification or email varification for new users
- Inline filtering, click a catagory to filter all posts from that category
- TinyMCE text entry for styling and smilies
- Unlimited topics
- Unlimited posts
- Unlimited users
- Unlimited topics
- CSS Styled and validated
- Full stat recording for admin and mod panels, can also be shown on front end.
- User avatar system
- User PM system, controlled by admin settings
- Automated emails on reply to topics
There is alot more features still to come, and there is alot in the works including ajax intergration. However these will be in future updates not the first releise.

Please not this project is protected by copyright and screenshots, designs and releises will all be protected.
P.S. This is also my first ever codeigniter project so please be easy
