Hi, I'm new here. After almost 2 years PHP scripting (self-educated) I decided to start using a framework. I never used a framework before (not for PHP, not for anything else) and after some 'research' into various PHP frameworks, CodeIgniter appeared to me as the best option for me to start with.
However I noticed a persistent rumour that CodeIgniter does not fully support PHP5. Which sounds very uncommon to me, since why should an active framework community stick to old PHP versions? Is this rumour completely nonsense? Or is there a base for it? And if yes, what?
