Newby.. Need url accdess to Home Pagew.

Hi,

I have had a site built using CI. It is in a sub dir and the Home Page is inside the /system/ dir.

I did not want this but it is too late now. I wanted the normal index to remain in root and them link to CI for that part of the script.

Anyway, the dom.com goes to an index.html refresh page in root which redirects it in 2 secs to the 'Home' page in /system/

Now I need the dom.com to go directly to that Home Page and not through the refresh.

Is there a way to do this whilst still keep the CI site in that same sub dir.

Then again, if I had to move it all to the root, where would I have to make changes for this to work there and for the dom.com to go direcvt to that Home Page?

The 'system' folder can be anywhere on your server.
In the documents root you have to place the 'index.php' which contains the path to the 'system' folder.

The 'system' folder should be outsite the documents root for security reasons.
