Using codeIgniter in CMS
#1

Hi,

I am using codeIgniter for the last two years for a web application and all I can say its great framework.

but now I want to build more like a website orientation using CMS but I am still want to use codeIgniter in the CMS for a complex backend functionality.

Is there a CMS that can combine codeIgniter without a complex plug in?
What is the best CMS to use codeIgniter?

Thanks
Guy.

PyroCMS is a cms built with codeIgniter. There should be others too. If you want to use EllisLabs product, ExpressionEngine, http://expressionengine.com/ . You'll have to spend some money for it though.

You can build new modules for PyroCMS REALLY easily, its just like writing normal CodeIgniter code and using Modular Separation.

Thanks a lot both!

I saw the Pyrocms CMS when I search CMS and CodeIgniter and I knew it’s written in CodeIgniter but I was not sure I could add my codeIgniter code as if it was just another codeIgniter framework, if so I will use Pyrocms.
