Thanks for the reply guys.

My form validation now reads:

$this->form_validation->set_rules('email', 'Email Address', 'trim|required|valid_email');
      $this->form_validation->set_rules('password', 'Password', 'trim|required');

and it logs me in successfully Big Grin

So no md5 in use.



Basically, we're all working super duper now after removing the md5. Wooop!
