integrate chat in codeigniter

Hello All,

I want to integrate chat in codeigniter. I have tried using chatr and some other chat applications available, but facing problems. Please can anyone help me to know how it can be done exactly and what would be better solution for that. I just want to have a conference chat application and display a list of members.
