Language helper

Hello,
I want to use this language library:

The problem is I don't understand this code so I don't know how to use this library. What I want is an option on my view. Select language: NL, EN. When a user clicks for example EN the translation switch to enlgish and the url become's. www.domain.com/nl/controller/..

If somebody could help me out starting this would be great.
