HMVC into CI itself without third party codes |
I've tried HMVC from wiredesign a long time ago. I don't see the big advantages of it. I think that we should be working towards a native Composer support.
I'm not even talk about application packages. Two days ago I was trying to refactor some of my app's code to take advantage of them but got stuck in a big problem (at least in my point of view is a big problem) where I couldn't put another form_validation.php file with the "package" specific form validation rules as CodeIgniter only loads one "instance" of each config file... Maybe I can achieve the same objective in another way but I think that CodeIgniter should append repeated config files code, even if the packages ones override some of the general config... In my point of view, that's more logic. (Sorry for bad english... Not my native language)
