Hello all,
I wanted to write a quick post as I start a new application with CI 2. I have created CI websites in the past, but nothing quite as robust as I am currently doing now. Just wanted to gather the forums advice on the login part at this point.
I am creating a site that mainly uses facebook to login users from the front end of the web app, however there is still an admin side where I will need an inline method. I plan to use tank auth, and specifically XTA2 by ericbae as he has integrated many social sign on's into the library. Has anyone had any experience with this? I saw in a few forum posts that people have been hesitant to use it since they are unsure of what exactly has been modified, etc.. My plan is to just limit the front end to logging in via facebook and have the backend limited to the actual tank auth login itself. Is this the best route? What is the standard method of attaching user roles to a setup with tank auth? Any advice or tutorial links you guys have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
