I followed instruction given in http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-gui...index.html
I have set
$config['base_url']    = "http://localhost/CodeIgniter_1.5.4/";

$db['default']['hostname'] = "localhost";
$db['default']['username'] = "root";
$db['default']['password'] = "";
$db['default']['database'] = "codeigniter";

But still there is problem, while running my http://localhost/CodeIgniter_1.5.4/

The page you requested was not found.

So, is there still anything missing to configure?
Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Do you change the default controller in routes.php config file too?

On index.php, you need change the $system_folder variable if you rename this.

I have not changed the default controller in routes.php
Nor i have renamed the system folder.

can you post your directory structure?

after unzipping it i already have this: d:/xampp/xampplite/htdocs/CodeIgniter_1.5.4/

and on my browser: http://localhost/CodeIgniter_1.5.4/index.php/

thats all there is to it.
im running php5 anyways.

Hello All,

Can anyone upload the well configured CodeIngniter project with database to their ftp and give me the url to download it.

I will be very thankful.

You may need to change the URI protocol thats used for your server setup

| This item determines which server global should be used to retrieve the
| URI string.  The default setting of "AUTO" works for most servers.
| If your links do not seem to work, try one of the other delicious flavors:
| 'AUTO'            Default - auto detects
| 'PATH_INFO'        Uses the PATH_INFO
| 'REQUEST_URI'        Uses the REQUEST_URI
$config['uri_protocol']    = "AUTO";

change the "AUTO" to PATH_INFO and see if that helps if not try the others, thats how i fixed my problem with the 404 page
