How to freeze the columns in flexi grid

hi,
i am using flexi grid, its satisfied all my needs except freeze columns. I have a knowledge on jquery and css i have extended few features for flexi grid according to my requirement except freezing cols.
Any idea of how to start for this(freeze cols) or any one has done this... ?
