jquery validation engin with CI

Hi guys I'm currently working on a site and I'm trying to use the ajax validation of validationEngine (http://www.position-absolute.com/article...is-a-mess/) and the problem is you need to put the URL of the php file that will validate your forms in JS file. I successfully added the URL but it does not accept the URL I sent(ajax error 404). If anyone already used this jQuery validation or encountered the same problem please share how you handle this one.
