What technology is this?

Hi guys,

I'm after some general advice. What sort of 'technology'/'coding solution' do these types of service use?

In summary - they all provide a service, where you add a short piece of java snippet into your html, and from there they provide clickable menu on your site. This menu pops up their application, which people can use, without leaving the original site.

Basically I'm looking to provide the same general idea, but for a different market. What technology/coding solution do I need to look up? Is it an API type service?

Thanks for any tips/thoughts in advance - I know its a general question...

Most of the services are API type, and they are SaaS (Software as a Service) that provide only service on monthly basis.

UseResponse is the only self-hosted that can be installed on your server with open code.

If you want to organize something similar for your needs, you can use UseResponse, install it on your server and customize it. If you want to build something similar, evaluate any of the server languages and define your business model first before writing a solution.
