sending trackbacks (or pingbacks?)

i am new to gode igniter and have a litte question. is it possible to send an trackback (or pingback) with this framework to an wordpress installation (blog)? thanks and sorry my bad english

thanks for the answer, i know that there is a class called trackback. but here i found an other trackback class and it wont func. with wordpress :roll:

I've also been curious about this...

I looked at the Trackback Class and that looks perfect for a trackback.

But what about the newer Pingback style of linking? (I'd like to model mine after what Wordpress does) This would be much more convenient than a track back... Is there any sort of CodeIgniter solution for this? Or should we roll our own in PHP?

Have a look at InkType, the creator stated it has pingback functionality.
