Codeigniter Community Metrics

Hello Everyone,

I am an undergraduate computing student at Bournemouth University conducting a comparative investigation into PHP frameworks for my dissertation. One of my evaluation criteria for my study is "Framework Community". Would anyone be able to point me in the direction or be able to provide any metrics with regards to the size of the Codeigniter Community? I am attempting to quantify some of the evaluative points to add more depth to my discussion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
